Snake is one of the live creatures that I
am really scare and afraid. It’s some kind of shocking and shivering even when
I saw the picture of snake. My 5 years old nephew Zack just finished his
pre-school and came back from Canada. I told him that the duck his elder sister
Abby had seen on her last trip was given to other people already. However, I
would like to take him to somewhere else for an animal-refreshment excursion.
Then I proposed the place where I am going for missionary works to him. He was
quite interesting when I told him that what kind of animals and live creatures
are up there. As our topic gone far about the animals, I told the little Zack
that I was so afraid about the snake and the story about how I responded when I
saw the two dead snakes on my last mission trip. Zack was quite queries about
it. Then he went to find out his “home study book” as he called it and started
to turn the page and read it…5 minutes later… there was someone who screaming
out loudly “ah”~ because of he turned his home study book to the page of snake
and made sure that I was telling him the truth. Opps! Zack is really a smart
boy with scientific spirit.



PS. I was calling by God to be a
missionary. I always thought that I would be sent to some places like third
world countries and serve God with my life partner there. However, I suddenly
understood and clearer what was my calling to serve God as a missionary about
as I am doing part time missionary works at somewhere else in Taiwan. I really
thanks God that I can serve HIM in the place that I am really comfortable with
even a very few of blessing days that I met some dead snake’s bodies or skins.

However, I do not sleep in the tent or eat the snakes.... Thank you Lrod. You really
understand, care and love me very much.

蛇是其中一種活的生物，令我感到很恐慌和害怕。且是某種令人震驚，甚至發抖的感覺，即便是當我只看到蛇的圖片。我5歲的侄子扎克剛剛結束了學前學校的課程和從加拿大回來。我告訴他，他的姐姐艾比上回看見的小鴨子-吐司已經給其他人了。不過，如果有機會的話我可以帶他來個動物之旅。然後，我提議帶他和姊姊去我參與宣教的地方。當我告訴他，那個地方有什麼樣的動物和活的生物,她非常感興趣也好奇。由於我們的話題都圍繞在動物，我告訴小扎克，我害怕蛇的故事和當我看到兩隻死的蛇在我上一次的宣教之旅時,我是如何的反應。扎克聽了之後非常的好奇且詢問了許多問題。然後，他去找出一本他把它稱為“家庭學習書”，接著開始翻開新的一頁，並讀著它... ... 5分鐘後 ...還有人大聲尖叫“啊”〜因為他把他的家庭學習書翻到有蛇的頁面，並確保我告訴他我怕蛇的事是事實也是真相。哎呀！扎克實在是一個聰明的男孩且有科學家的精神呢。

PS在2002年我被神乎召要成為宣教士。我一直以為我會被發送到某些地方像第三世界國家，成為與我的另一伴在那裡服侍上帝。且一直以為宣教士就是要到那樣的地方去!不過，因為近一年在部落內服務,我突然明白了且更加清楚，宣教士的工作和生活會是什麼樣子,且更加清楚的知道上帝真的會預備我們服侍的地方和時間根據祂的計畫及命定。我真感謝上帝，我可以在很舒服不需要住在帳篷且擔心有老鼠和蛇甚至需要吃蛇的地方為他服務，! 當然只有在極少數被祝福的日子，我遇到一些死蛇的身體或皮而已! 哈哈所以上帝還真的是知道我們瞭解我們也愛我們的呢!
